COMMUNITY RESILIENCY MODEL WORKSHOPS

How can we help our communities manage stress and trauma, if we’re not trained therapists? How can we help ourselves and our colleagues cope with the stresses of our work? The Community Resiliency Model is a practical, skills-based approach developed by the Trauma Resource Institute. The model has been proven effective in numerous research studies and used in over 90 countries, particularly in response to war and natural disasters. You will learn easy-to-apply skills to help you return to and stay within your “OK zone,” where thinking is clearer and responses are more effective. In this interactive workshop, we’ll practice using these skills to better manage reactions to trauma reminders, ongoing stress, and everyday challenges.

Note: We customize the content to the needs and strengths of your organization.

"It is really valuable to have a model that can be shared with clients, case workers, peer mentors, and others who are not mental health professionals but encounter people who are struggling."

Participant, Northwest Conference on Resettlement

Time: The full workshop is six hours, but we can shorten the workshop to as little as one hour.

"Loved it—for myself, my students, my family."
